Ours is a profession where we learn by doing. Along that vein, consider attending the upcoming “Prevailing on Appeal” CLE offered by the NCADA Young Lawyers Committee at Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh on July 25, 2012.
The CLE combines instruction in the morning with attendees paritcipating in moot court arguments for the remainder of the day. The morning session includes lectures from our own L. Cooper Harrell as well as from our friends Duane Jones and Shelley Coleman from the appellate team at Hedrick Gardner. All participants then prepare and present oral arguments before top attorneys and Judges. The CLE concludes with a trip to the NC Supreme Court in which two participants present their arguments to a panel including Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby.
This is one of those rare CLEs that focuses exclusively on appellate practice, and should be useful for appellate neophytes and appellate specialists alike.
**Deadline for registration is Friday, July 13**
