After record voter turnout, the dust has settled on the appellate judicial races in North Carolina. Anita Earls will be the newest justice on the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Toby Hampson and Allegra Collins will serve on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. In addition, Judge John Arrowood will maintain his seat on the Court of Appeals for another eight years.
Congratulations to those four jurists!
We would also like to express our deep gratitude to Justice Barbara Jackson of the Supreme Court, who has worked from the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court benches for 14 years and who spearheaded many of the technological changes that have made practicing law in those courts more enjoyable for all of us. We are also incredibly grateful to retiring Court of Appeals Judges Rick Elmore and Ann Marie Calabria, who together have given 30 years of service to our State.
We thank all three jurists for their distinguished service, and we wish them all the best in their new endeavors.
