Your gas bill is not the only thing going up these days. The Judicial Conference of the United States recently authorized an increase in the fee charged to those using the Public Access to Court Electronic Records system (more affectionately known as PACER). On April 1, 2012, the fee will increase from eight cents per page to ten cents. Government agencies and infrequent users will be exempt from the charge, but private firms who use the system regularly will have to fork over a few more pennies.
